Ala Amarascato Duca di Salaparuta 500ml. Alcohol content 17.5% of vol. This wine is made from Nero d'Avola, Perricone and other typical Sicilian grape varieties with the addition of infused morello cherries. It was created by Duke Henry more than a century ago for the love of his wife, Duchess Sonia, who loved chocolate very much, but could not find the right wine for pairing. Shining mahogany colour, with very intense scents of cherry in spirit, walnut hull, cocoa, candied bitter orange and almond. The taste is sweet, warm and soft, harmonious and overwhelming. Lingering finish with a pleasant bitterish back palate. Fantastic with Sacher Cake or desserts made from chocolate and almonds.
